Phenomenal pasta, the best I’ve had in New York. The setting was gorgeous on the back patio and the service was very wonderful with the incredible executive chef Sylvia, stopping by our table to say hey to friends of ours who knew her. We were blown away with this pasta and my dear friends at La Spiga make the best pasta in Seattle. We were kind of mind blown as each dish kept dropping, offering new flavors, the perfect textures and flavors we both never tasted and were familiar with. Do yourself a favor and go with friends so you can order more and take the recommendations of the server and people around you. I can’t wait to come back to have another legendary meal here. Don’t miss the oxtail!!
Although may be not the best way to describe the food, there was a modern-rustic influence on the food and the ambiance. The agnolotti was a nice solid choice
Cute atmosphere- almost bistro like. One of the best bread baskets I’ve had in a while - the tomato focaccia was especially delicious. But the olive oil was terrible!
I ordered the Agnolotti- which had chicken, beef and lime as the driving flavors. Very savory and tasty, portion size was okay wish there was more. Would order again!
My friend ordered the gnudi. I may be picky because I ate gnudi a lot in Italy, but I felt her dish fell very flat. It was a bland ball of dough not flavorful or light like gnudi I’ve known before. That being said the sauce and mushrooms that accompanied it were a delight.
Drinks- I got an aperol spritz that had an olive in it - very strange and tasted mostly like seltzer.
Based on the overall price being $100 for two I feel this place was okay. My dish was great, but my friends wasn’t and the drinks were 3/10.
After reading so many positive reviews, I was really looking forward to eating some pasta. I left really disappointed and also super hungry, because I couldn’t finish my dish.
Given the price point of this restaurant, I was expecting the entire experience to be better. A couple things that left me disappointed:
- I got an app with prosciutto and mozzarella and the olive oil that came with some bread had clearly gone bad. I’ve actually never tasted stale olive oil till today and you can definitely taste the difference.
- We waited a long time for our mains and when the server came with them, he kept gesturing at me with the come hither motion to hand over the water bottle faster. It felt a little weird and I wouldn’t have mentioned this if that was the only thing that happened but then he never came back with our water bottle.
- All the mains were so salty that we couldn’t finish them — the agnolotti, lamb ragu, and the lemon risotto special. I took a picture (some bites taken out of it) of the risotto — just strangely plated and the yellow bits tasted soapy.
- Generally slow service as well.
I wouldn’t have spent so much time writing this if the total bill wasn’t so expensive — $113 total! We did get the risotto off the bill, which I appreciated, but overall, this is just not worth the price. I would recommend going somewhere else if you’re looking to eat a nice meal.
Perfect evening from start to finish. We had a reservation for 4 outside. Server was great! We had mezcal margaritas which were not on menu and the bartender made them delicious. Food was exceptional, highly recommend the lasagna and bucatini - pasta so fresh and sauces just right! Cant wait to go back soon.
Loved the food and the warm romantic vibe. It’s a great date night spot or a place to catch up with a couple friends.
Entire entire was a 10/10. the ambience is fantastic, beautiful backyard seating area and really friendly staff. the food was amazing- highlight was definitely the branzino with an insane purée. the pasta was the truffle special and the smoked spaghetti were good but not as good as the branzino. great experience, great size portions. will be coming back!!!
Food was bland. I tried the veal appetizer and the gnocchi special with rabbit. Not at all worth it. The complimentary fig bread was good but the other slices had plastic pieces in it 😰
